Join OSM Thome as Motorman / Oiler on a shuttle tanker trading off Brazil. You will work closely with the engineering team to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently, supporting day-to-day operations in the engine room.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engineers with operation and routine maintenance of main and auxiliary engines
- Carry out lubrication, cleaning and basic repairs of machinery and equipment
- Monitor engine room parameters and report any abnormalities
- Maintain engine room cleanliness and follow safe working practices
- Support bunkering and fuel transfer operations when required
- Requirements:
- Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) certificate and STCW documents
- Experience on tankers, ideally shuttle tankers
- Good knowledge of engine room operations and safety procedures
- Medically fit for sea service
- Ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew and follow instructions clearly
