Chief Officer (C/O) – Oil/Chemical Tanker

**Description**
OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Officer for an Oil/Chemical Tanker under Norwegian (NIS) flag, trading worldwide. The ideal candidate has a strong cargo and vetting background and is ready to join in Haldia at the beginning of March.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and supervise all deck and cargo operations, including loading, discharging and tank cleaning
- Manage and operate FRAMO deep-well pump systems and Nitrogen/Inert Gas systems
- Lead complex chemical-to-chemical tank cleaning and wall-wash preparation
- Prepare and follow cargo plans using Milbros, Miracle or similar tools
- Maintain high standards for SIRE and CDI inspection readiness
- Lead deck crew in all deck maintenance, mooring and safety operations
- Act as Ship Security Officer when designated and support the Master in all safety and security matters
- Ensure compliance with STCW, ISM, MARPOL and company procedures

**Requirements**
- Chief Mate Unlimited CoC (STCW II/2) valid for Oil/Chemical Tankers
- Advanced Chemical Tanker (V/1-1-2) and Advanced Oil Tanker (V/1-1-1) CoPs
- Strong experience as Chief Officer on Oil/Chemical Tankers
- Expert knowledge of FRAMO cargo pumps and Nitrogen/Inert Gas systems
- Proven experience with complex tank cleaning and wall-wash operations
- Proficiency with cargo planning/compatibility software (e.g. Milbros, Miracle)
- Documented successful SIRE and CDI vetting experience
- Valid Medical Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent)
- Valid US C1/D visa
- Ship Security Officer (SSO) certificate
- Advanced Firefighting and Medical Care certificates, in date
- Available for embarkation from the beginning of March
